An uneducated, unhealthy (distracted) population is much better, essential even, for them to maintain control. i understand what you mean by "exploiting" cheap labor, 1st of all i don't exploit it, i pay for my stuff much more that what it cost to make it, i save money for my toys, its the same labor. i have to work hard to get what i want, the difference is that i have an opportunity to make that money and by thous goods. 2nd, what we consider a "CHEAP" labor in thous countries is an average pay, and thous workers are glad to have thous jobs.

The trailer is suggesting it is the individual's responsibility to be informed and be capable of critical thinking. The movie's thesis is that it is an uphill battle to do so with the current state of corporate controlled media and underfunded "dumbed down" education. This isn't a conspiracy theory but the empirical fact based on years of deregulation of media, & the increase in media based on celebritainment/reality TV instead of writer's ideas.
