I had my surgery a little over a month ago and I'm doing pretty well. I'm going through 3 weeks of physical therapy, i was suppose to go through 6 but it was cut in half because of how well i was doing, but the surgery is well worth it.
@xlank04 It does suck I was just going to have some torn cartilage from my lcl removed but I had to have some of the cartilage around my meniscus removed too.
its crazy how all that is done with only one small hole. I have long scar where the patella tendon was taken and a small tiny scar from where they did the surgery on my acl
@FOUNDATIONSK8ER15 It is a device that is tightly strapped around the leg and inflated, above the knee, which prevents blood flow to the lower leg and allows the surgeon to carry out a 'bloodless' investigation.
@chechnya Yes, I am sorry to hear that. You will recover but you may experience severe pain and scarring. Please seek some medical attention. Sorry to hear your plight.
I had the knee brace before, and my doctor didnt have to do more than 2 incisions so that was really good, yeah i have to go to physiotherapy for like 2 months. He said i shouldnt walk that much. I just had a plica excision though not quite as bad as an MCL injury.
@unknowntbs Injurys just plain suck I used to kickbox, wrestle & had hope of getting into mma & just plain enjoyed the gym & after my ACL injury on my right knee, R shoulder subluxation & lack of a proper AC joint because my clavicle moved & needs relocation (hopefully just a closed reduction will do) & after 2 years of nothing my weight swelled up to 185 then while squatting 260 with incorrect shoes & using poor form in my later sets I'm now hobbling like an old man :(Im more bored thenanything
@wondeboy12 I've hobbeled for a few years.. one of my friends calls me penguin. Injurys do suck. Ive had so many health problems that i cant count.. im sorry to hear about your knee.
@wondeboy12 I had a knee arthroscopy a week ago and its not that big of a deal :) I am walking and stuff.. fully off of pain medication and crutches...
@unknowntbs Well i was given physiotherapy, knee brace & a shitload of anti inflamitorys & its very slowly getting better but i think I have at least another month or 2 before it stops bothering me & some time after to bring back the atrophied muscles, Not being able to squat has made my legs shrink 4 inches!
But it should all be groovy in a few months & i have gained back a inch so far :)
Just found out today that I'll be having this surgery in less than 3 weeks. I just hope it's worth it. This pain is unbearable.
