Keep your child rear facing as long as possible. I have a 4 year old still rear facing. Find a seat that will fit your child rear facing the LONGEST!!
1 year 20 lbs is a bare minimum- with seats like the Cosco Scenera in your video many children can rear face until 35 lbs, or until they have less than 1 inch of shell above their head. This is 4 to 5 times safer than forward facing. Also, one of the biggest misuses I see are parents not tightening the harness correctly- it would have been useful if you would have demonstrated correct use of the harness.

Here in Germany kids under 12 have to sit in the back seat. otherwise its huge fines.
