Can this machine be used to separate cancerous cells from non cancerous cells so that the cancerous ones may be studied? Is it possible to take a tissue sample from a cancer patient to accomplish this?

@wendysbrian1: yes it is possible but the cells have to be in solution so I'm not that used to cancer cells because I work on this machine with plant cells but blood cells for example can be sorted with it. So if you can bring a tissue sample in a solution that the cells are singlets it should be possible...
