The real issue with Faith Evans not being like HUGE in the mainstream, is due to "Puffy" back in the day trying to make her into a light-skinned feminine Mary J. Blige. Love me some Mary J., but that's the truth. Mary made a huge impact because she was dark-skinned and had a more cross-over appeal in hip-hop - but really hadn't fine-tuned her vocals. Faith Evans came out like BAM music teacher vocals! Think about it. Light skinnd chics don't really get the props like dark girls do in R&B. Truth.

I also love this song, I listen to it eveyday and I constantly think about it when I not listening to it. A few years ago, I had recorded a song off the radio, the singer sounded like Faith and the music was similar to Camplo's song "Luchini". Did faith ever do a song using their music. I have been looking for that song. If she did, please tell me the title of it.

@jam27775 sorry that wasnt faith, that luchini song has been sampled twice by females....one was Angie stone "Lovers Ghetto". The other was a chick named terri (I cant remember her last name)...Look up "Dynasty Mashup, Angie stone" And you can here all 3 songs together (camp lo, angie stone, & terri???) hope that helps you.

We'll just have to read the books. They didn't really focus on anything Faith wrote in her book. I know Kim is mad at the way she was portrayed, but the bottom line is that Charli Baltimore was Big's woman when he died and she wasn't even in the movie except for that one scene.

All I know is Big was on the radio right before he died and said he wasn't with Faye or Kim. He said his girlfriend was named Tiffany from Philly. Faith and Jan (T'Yanna's mom) has always acknowledged Charli as his girlfriend. Kim never has. People always complain about Faye getting pregnant and married again before Big's ashes were cold, but Big had moved on to other women long before he died. If he'd had another baby on the way when he died, I doubt there would have been a lot of criticism.
