It comes waterproof and i got one yesterday and modded it with aluminim c-hubs, rear hub carriers, steering knuckles, steering bellcrank assembly all gun metal STRC. I have RPM towers and A-arms and a center diff. Also a venom 2c 25c 5000mah 7.4v lipo and a venom pro charger...its SICK!

That's all you have to do but the 4x4 is much better. I don't know why anyone would buy the 2wd VXL now that the 4x4 is out but if you already have the XL-5 truck it makes more sense.

i took my stampede vxl in water thinking it was waterproof like the box says.... next day was drving it up and down the street when i lost control and it went full throttle into a tree completly breaking the left front wheel off. turns out the only part that wasnt waterproof was the servo and it got stuck on full throttle and i lost the signal..... not doing that anymore...

if I were you man, I would first make the mud puddle a whole lot bigger, deeper, the mud stickier, and more messier.(oh and if you have a stock rc vw bus and a rc tow truck than you can have the bus get stuck and covered in mud and have the wheels covered in sticky mud, then clearly show them spining in the mud pit and getting no traction, and if you can, show the wheels flinging mud all over the muddy and stuck vw bus. Then have the tow truck come and tow the muddy stuck bus out of the mud pit.
