Speaking as a non member, it's a fallacy to say this church does nothing to help the poor. There are countless examples of their members reaching out during disasters to help clean up or provide basic physical needs. Their policy of helping their own, keeps the majority off public welfare. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you'd be hard pressed to find any other body so dedicated to the ethic of public service. Throwing random statements around only brings discredit to yourself.

The LDS Church has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in recent years for humanitarian efforts all over the world.

However, we also believe that spiritual nourishment and service is important too, and that is why our young missionaries serve voluntarily throughout the world.

Your silly name-calling and insults speak far more about yourself than they do about our religion.

I know he is a true prophet. I was in the Salt Lake temple in the conference October 4-5. Since my visit to the Salt Lake temple, I am now closer to the lord and know for SURE the Mormon Church is the true church.

I'm a lifelong member of the LDS Church and remember hearing President Kimball speak and thinking how blessed the Church (and the world) was to have a living prophet on the earth. I'm a devout member of the LDS Church and I'm very proud of my heritage in the church. Even if this was a quote "false" religion; it would still be the best lifestyle choice one could live. I know Thomas S. Monson is a TRUE prophet of God and he is "mouthpiece" here on this earth. I AM A CHRISTIAN!! I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Redeemer and confidant.
