@Chacha5678 They have an official version that is english subbed. I watched it-its very well done, you can watch in on netflix or buy the subbed version or maybe find it online-I don't think you will regret it-the movie is really good :)

omg i must say i was unsure about this movie when i first turned it on but i just finished watching it and it was sooooo great. I loved it and it was so inspiring. Zac had a hard life but his family eventaully accepted him which was all he wanted. Great movie!!!!!

Unfortunately, Zac’s struggle with his sexuality probably make showing the film problematic in many high school classes, even though students and their families are struggling with, and can relate to Zac’s character. In the film, the father, Gervais Beaulieu says “There is a little bit of him in me” and in the director’s commentary Jean-Marc Vallée opines: “There is a little bit of Zack in all of us.”

This is such a great movie that all of you anglophones (like me) who like it should go out and buy the DVD. The Quebec film industry has to fight every minute to keep its head above water and they do some great stuff.

I am a French teacher in the US and work real hard to get my fellow French teachers to pay attention to Quebec music (like Les Cowboys Fringants) and cinema.

Does anyone out there think their high school French teacher could get away with showing it in class?
