Some times the installer has a brain fart in Pinguy OS (I had the same problem recently. If you chose the 'something else' option for partitioning and create the partitions yourself then it will work. You can find a thread in the PgOS support forums that I created about it (im yet to get around to doing the how to guide).

i have on my laptop Triple Boot: MAC OSX (Hackintosh) / XP / BackTrack 5 (Gnome) - because i used before...Ubuntu 11.04...and others versions.....So ...a recomand if you want to make a dual boot ..you should use backtrack...you have some real interesting tools there..>.<

Lack of free space - Windows problem;

Sliders - Ubuntu stupid feature;

Also why people counting problems on Linux? Install fresh Windows and see how many problems you'll get there, three Linux problems would be just drop in the sea compared to Windows lol

I would suggest Linux Mint 11 as the first distro of Linux. It resembles the look and feel of Windows XP but it is WAY BETTER than Microsoft Windows.

Yeah, LM or Fedora, I actually don't mind the Gnome 3 in Fedora, but LM is still awesome for everything, I just find Fedora looks a bit better

the system monitor is called conky and and it has another look you can choose .and the whole os is built by one man ,why don't you make a separate partition just for this and leave the whole c for windows .since you can see all your windows partitions from linux .but i suggest you be braveand dual boot the beta 1 version of ubuntu 11.10 and check the new lenses (gwibber) and quicklist you like it.
