It's, as they say a coupple of times in the video, a gamepad. Which gives you the basic WASD movement keys + alot of features for macroing etc.

This is an excellent speed pad. It's obviously aimed at gamers but I've been using it to work in Photoshop and it's great having my frequently used commands mapped to this thing. I totally recommend it.

Sadly, this doesn't work for me whatsoever. A keyboard simply works. Also worthless for RTS games - atleast for starcraft - because of the severe lack of keys. I also cannot imagine using this for WoW, again because of a simple lack of keys.

Can't you move forward and e.g. right at the same time? playing WoW mostly highrated Arena, of course I'm using the mouse to turn my charakter around but I use WASD as well for example to Target someone who stands behind a pillar (Gladius rules and so do Nametemplates). So anybody has some experience?

@M4A1xXx you can overlay every buttom of the gameboard with any buttom of the keyboard, but when you play arena, you will need much time to get used to the n52te

I have mine a pretty long time now, i still love it and it works fine. My keystrokes counter says something around 5.500.000 hits atm. i advice it to everyone :D

I've got the original Nostromo n52 that I bought at best buy on a whim and it is one of the best impulse buys I have ever made. I mainly bought it to keep from wearing out the left side of my keyboard. It still works perfectly even after hundreds of hours spent on TES IV Oblivion and other games. Software is great... but i wish the keys were more sensitive and had less dead-zone. All in all a great product but i do see the point people make with this one... you don't need the backlights

the diagonals are not broken. they made it clear that this is a 4-way joystick, not a 8-way.

I just picked this up and i play both WoW and CS:S religiously and it has no issues that I have come across. If you get the latest drivers off their site you should not have any other issues. As far as movement goes I can not understand using the dPad/Joystick as your movement in any fps, there are arrows on the keys set up as WASD by default and you should use it as so. I use my mouse for aim and the pad for F, B, and strafe as well as all of my other commands like tag or last weapon.

@nithia I have been useing this now for a few months still love it. Dont play CS:S much any more but it works great for wow i have shift, ctrl, and alt bound to the 01, 06, and the 11 key. After several hours of gameing my wrist still feals fine; no cramping. I have not used the Logitech G13 but as far as looks I perfer the Belkin.

The drivers for this device are broken Gundam, if you use the gamepad to move around on this device, you cannot move diagonally properly.

For example, if you're moving straight in an FPS, and decide to move diagonally, there's a 1 second pause between each change of direction, rendering the device pointless.

I have a n52te, and this is very nice speedpad! I use to play mmorpg games like WoW and Lineage 2, and some FPS too! you can do amazing macros with this, like one macro for rocket jump on quake! 1 one sigle key pressed, camera turn do the floor on 90º, shoot, jump, and center camera again... for exemple! So can you imagine what can you do with this! ;)

Unless there is software made that kind of function, I don't think you can. When you think about it, why would you? It would be very difficult to win fights with, but I guess if your grinding it would be great! Eating food with one and playing with the other.

So what's the deal about this? Using a Keyboard is much better, also what's the need of a scroll? the mouse has this already also about macros, in my opinion you can get a G15 Logitech Keyboard which will be much more useful.

MariosX i understand what your saying and i have the g15 revision 2 keyboard. Yet i tried this thing at a friends house and it was awesome for mmo's it sat next to his g15 origional and in wow allowed him to have yet another set of programmable keys. it was incredibly comfy to use too and seen as how i have the second revision keyboard i really need them extra keys.

i just bought one, took a little while to get it to work. unless you have massive hands, buttons 01, 05 and 15 are kinda hard to hit. the scroll weel is pointless in my opinion, unless your hands are very flexible, its kinda hard to use while trying to use the " w a s d" buttons other than that, its a nice unit, kinda cheap looking but its very comfortable. the biggest complaint, again is the 15 button, if it could be raised up half an inch, it would make this so much better
