@mirandahanson17 do you mean playing by ear? for that I'm not sure - I've done that since I was 3 or 4 (on different intsruments) - long before I could read music ;)

@rockyworldsbesthorse haha yes I did - my Mum used to regret giving me permission to start lessons when I was 13 ;) however as you get more experience you can make the flute sound amazing. This may sound cheesy - but I put my heart and feelings into it and the end sond makes it feel like that people see that when I play.

Adda go babyjen29. Might be better with a metronome - or play more rhythmically if possible. Also, give your notes more of a "tail" (i.e. trail them off a bit). For overall sound, pretend you're an opera singer (i.e. look up Moyse).

Well, I did..

So I took video of me playing clarinet- I play B flat clarinet by the way- and it sounded somewhat robotic. So.. What camera did you use? I used the regular camera-not video camera. costed about $270.

@FTloverTINA this vid is a couple of years old now so it would have been a logitech webcam - it was suitable for video calling/skype with an inbuilt mic. I think I paid around $100 for it?

try to have a more gradual increase of waves towards the end of the vibrato (I mean, this applies to every instrument), it'll sound more virtuoso (it also depends on the music you're playing, in this case, play it that way)
