Maybe it would be easier to collect the seeds if you tie a thread around the fluff just before they fall off. Then you'd just have to rub the seeds off the bundle instead of picking them all off one at a time. You can make paint brushes with the fluff if you wind thread around the seed ends of it in a small bundle and setting it into a small hollow cane.
