I agree with you - the original story was lovely. However, as with a lot of books turned into movies, "PS, I Love You" the movie is only loosely based on the book. I think it's a great movie along the lines of "Love Actually" (another favourite of mine). If you can separate the two, I think they each have something to offer. There are a lot of elements from the book that did make it into the movie - and I'm very glad of that. Could've done without some of the major changes though! :D
