to me, they displayed the horrible voting was displayed when latoya london got voted out in the 3rd season (was that it?not very sure)...but since i wasn't a fan right from the very start, i told myself well, maybe it was just that one time.

then came chris daughtry in season 5. man was i pissed. and now that i've seen season 6 clips now that it's long over AND that melinda didn't won, i rest my case.

This was probably her most daring performance...one of those you wouldn't expect sweet, kind, subtle, shy Melinda Doolittle to sing, but she can sing ANYTHING. BTW she has an EP already out on iTunes...it's not an official album just a compilation of the Top 5 most requested Doolittle performances. For me, Melinda Doolittle was different to any other contestant that has so far appeared on American Idol. Not only does she have a Sweet Voice and Magical Delivery... she is the "Finished" Pro. All others have had Potential only.

And whilst most are finding it difficult to live up to that potential, I feel, like a good wine, Melinda is going to mature even more as time goes by...!!

Not only is it intense for the contestants but it's also intense for the viewers, especially those of us who support Melinda and to know that she didn't get enough votes, that makes the show moreso like a joke. Melinda was too good for American Idol-the exposure priceless! Her performances flawless! I predicted that she, like Daughtry, wouldn't win. When your singing makes the judges say they can see you making a record/hear you on radio now, then you are too good. I have Melinda's MP3's-a whole Doolittle CD already! AWESOME! She & Daughtry are able to use AI as a springboard to a record contract & great career. I bet she signed with Simon when she got off-stage.
