  • Jon,

Thank you for this tribute to Larry Fleischer. I will miss him, too.

  • Thank you for this vlog. I was in the audience on the day you did your show for Jask, and it's fascinating to see your point of view and what was going on through your mind during your show. I have been one of Larry's students for a long time, and I have had many instances in front of the classroom when I'm discussing something and I have to look over to him. All he would have to do was nod after my presentation for me to know I did well. He had that effect on people. Thank u for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing memories with us.

  • Welcome.. :-)

  • Yesterday I brought it up in mentorship class and interesting thing is that my professor knows Dr Fleischer too! Even mentioned Flavia as well. Small world and Dr Fleischer's memory shall live on...

  • JON - thank you for sharing your reflections on Larry and how he believed in you and inspired you. I hope we will see more and more stories in days to come because in many ways his work was quietly done - yet it sent a ripple effect to many. He invested in Deaf films, Deaf art, Deaf performances, Deaf ASL poetry and much more. I can picture Larry standing tall with arms folded laughing during your show. He had a great wit and sense of humor. Thanks for sharing.

    Peace
