Twas a joke dude. Me and my mates had an in joke that JPJ secretly wrote all the good songs but PnP never credited him which is why he less well known and the reason he wrote Angry Angry
I don't know, but I do know that JPJ arranged all the string parts and keyboard parts for songs like Kashmir, so perhaps you could say he did write Kashmir. That's why Zeppelin is such a great band, no superfluous members.
This is great. Though he's hugely respected as a member of Led Zeppelin, I still thing JPJ deserves more accolades for his incredible skill and innovation on bass and as an all around genius musician and arranger.
not really. JPJ is a pretty talented individual. His work on "What Is and What Should Never Be" alone shows how disgustingly talented he is, but writing the main riff to Kashmir, as well as his insane keyobard skills shown on "No Quarter" seal the deal. They were all lucky to have each other.
people that say ?uestlove isn't a good drummer are sadly mistaken all you have to do is search ?uestlove drum solo and will find some really good stuff. He doesn't sound like Bonham cause it's not a damn Led Zepplin Cover jam..they are trying to do something new...any musician could see that clearly....JPJ is still a fucking beast on the bass
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
?uestlove is a GREAT musician. but when performing with a legend far superior to himself, he should have tried to conform to the style that was being played a bit more. he shouldnt emulate bonham (and he didnt), but he should have at least played along with the fucking music! he isolated himself from the group way too much. it just wasnt his place. he doenst have the groove to be on stage with JPJ and Harper.
jimmymcclukcluk...that is honestly one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. NO ONE knows more about groove than ?uestlove. That's an ignorant thing to say, JPJ is all good, but to be honest, i'd rather see ?uestlove any day of the week. And the WHOLE POINT of the superjam was to unite musicians from different backgrounds and see what happened.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm just saying, playing bass lines you've been playing for thirty years in a jam session, just shows his unwillingness to adapt and be creative musically... So yeah, fans of music probably should be bias towards ?uestlove in this situation any how.

With all respect to the comments below, JPJ is clearly the superior musician. He's trying to work with these hacks. ?love is good, don't get me wrong, but he's trying waaay to hard. JPJ is the only MOFO up there keeping this ramshackled group together! Ben Harper is just a hack with a guitar that's in an open tuning.
I agree that JPJ is the superior musician that kinda goes without saying. But Ben Harper is an incredible musician, im guessing you've never heard his actual work or you are just incredibly close minded
you are ignorant man ?uestlove is one of the best musicians in the industry today. do you have any idea how many different shows he has done the musical arrangments for? the dude is incredible.
I think ?uestlove does so well here because he doesn't try to be bonham. ?uestlove is no doubt one of the most solid and creative drummers around today.
idk about you guys but i thought this was pretty sweet, the lap guitar was pretty cool. jonesy is as good as always, the drummer did a good job, its impossible to fill bonzos shoes anyways.
On that night -- and so many other nights at my beloved Bonnaroo -- so long as you could hear the show, there wasn't a bad seat in the place. I was workin' hard in the photo pit, simply thrilled by some hard workin' musos who love what they do and never became jaded.
It's "How Many More Times" from their debut album "Led Zeppelin".
