  • why doesn't led zep reform and recruit ?uestlove as their drummer?

  • @tryptofan001 NO!!! only because i want him 100% on the roots, im selfish that way =)

  • @tryptofan001

They have got a drummer(bonzos son) the only reasons why the are not reforming is that Robert plant dooesn't want to and if the don't have rp then the almost a "Led zeppelin a led zeppelin tribute"

  • @LedZepAlexander yeah i know. his son played with the band in london not too long ago. i just think ?uestlove is better :) and i agree that robert plant is the reason why they do not reform. the question was just wishful thinking on my part.

  • ...DAZED AND CONFUSED!!!...

  • no keith moon?

  • Jesus Christ this is awesome. ZEP REUNION TOUR WITH ?UESTLOVE AS GUEST PERCUSSIONIST.

A member of the greatest hip hop group of all time and a member of the greatest rock band of all time together = holy shit I need to change my pants.

  • There was no 'musical orgasm' button so I just clicked, which btw, 13 people missed.

  • Freeway Jam? This is magic. Pure unfiltered magic.

  • OMG ......yes!

I tried looking at the awesome but his ass was blocking 26.7% of my view

  • I just sharted.

  • bonzo was smiling down on this! nice job ?uest.

  • BADASS!

  • All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • ?UESTLOVE!

  • esto le va gustar a @pakodonto

  • great

  • la maitrise totale :)

  • Whoever saw this live, I'm so jealous. That was rad. Where was this?

  • Bonnaroo 2007.

  • JAAAAAMMMM!!!

  • ...."How Many More Times", bro

  • I hear some Dazed and Confused in there...

  • wtf....this is crazy! I love it

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

  • unreal

  • "Dança da Cadeira"???

  • Angry Angry was badass. Whenever I listen to it I see JPJ writing Stairway to Heaven and Kashmir and Page and Plant nicking the credit.

  • JPJ writing Stairway and Kashmir ? You serious ?

  • Twas a joke dude. Me and my mates had an in joke that JPJ secretly wrote all the good songs but PnP never credited him which is why he less well known and the reason he wrote Angry Angry

  • I don't know, but I do know that JPJ arranged all the string parts and keyboard parts for songs like Kashmir, so perhaps you could say he did write Kashmir. That's why Zeppelin is such a great band, no superfluous members.

  • Ben Harper AND ?uestlove AND JPJ? I don't think it could get more badass

  • @ledzephead IT DOESNT, AND WILL NEVER BE MORE BAD ASS THAN THIS. Unless John Bonham & Jimi Hendrix Rise from the dead and join them!

  • @Skip2731

lmao. Wouldn't that be a sight to see..

  • BONNAROOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Damn this was great.

  • JPJ was everywhere that weekend. I heard more live Zeppelin than I thought I ever would.

  • I think "Angry Angry" was supposed to be a joke song... I think it was intended to poke fun at some other song or musical genre...

  • This is great. Though he's hugely respected as a member of Led Zeppelin, I still thing JPJ deserves more accolades for his incredible skill and innovation on bass and as an all around genius musician and arranger.

  • I agree with you man, He was essential to not only Led Zeppelin's sound but also their recordings and Composition.

  • ha ha, jpj is the genius behind zepp

  • nah; he was lucky... he had three other geniuses to work with... that's pretty much why the might zeppelin was the mightiest of them all!

  • not really. JPJ is a pretty talented individual. His work on "What Is and What Should Never Be" alone shows how disgustingly talented he is, but writing the main riff to Kashmir, as well as his insane keyobard skills shown on "No Quarter" seal the deal. They were all lucky to have each other.

  • I agree whole heartedly, JPJ is an amazing bassist. And 'No Quarter' may be one the most beautiful songs ever.

  • Ben harper was pretty fuckin good at this year's bonnaroo too. Quite a trippy slide player.

  • the interplay@4:50+ is just sweet!

  • Bass + Drums = Orgasm.

  • Words cant explain...

  • I am sooo wet

  • it's a jam you dumb fuck

  • Chills.............

  • Bonnarooooooooooooooo!!

  • I saw ?uest and John Paul Jones in the same sentence and almost shit my pants.

  • lol

  • @HawkxDigitaL yeah i know what you mean

  • is "Led Zeppelin's" appropriate? If you don't know who John Paul Jones is then you obviously don't know influential classic rock music. Butt sex.

  • i am about to go apeshit all on your white ass

  • is this from bonarroo 2007?? if so i was there

  • fuck yeah.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 4:00 : how many more times !

  • APESHIT! its good to see that the messy hippy jam still exsists.

  • I think I just came.

  • twice

  • here comes another one.

  • def one of the best bonnaroo moments ever.

  • Dazed and Confused ! NICE !

  • 5:47 is when the madness begins. I was about 10 rows behind you. Fucking awesome.

  • Wow this is just simply amazing...

  • ?uestlove reminds me alot of Buddy Miles...very good drummers.

  • same here.

  • Ben Harper can shred on the slide guitar!

  • this set was badass

  • WOW

  • JPJ respects and loves Ben Harper, and Harper makes no secret of the fact that he is in awe of JPJ. The drummer is great, by the way.

  • If anything it looks like Harper let his chops go

  • Quest is the shit its wrong to think that John Paul Jones would lay with a bad drummer, he played with Bonham!

  • OH MY GOD!

  • people that say ?uestlove isn't a good drummer are sadly mistaken all you have to do is search ?uestlove drum solo and will find some really good stuff. He doesn't sound like Bonham cause it's not a damn Led Zepplin Cover jam..they are trying to do something new...any musician could see that clearly....JPJ is still a fucking beast on the bass

  • who says ?uestlove isn't a good drummer

  • ?uestlove is a much better drummer than I ever gave him credit for, awesome stuff.

  • badass! i love this jam! it's great seeing a legendary bass player playing with ?uestlove

  • music i dig!

Led's down with the legendary roots crew

  • The Roots AND John Paul Jones??

    someone pinch me...

  • it's missing the massive sound of jimmy's guitar, but it's still damn good.

  • Jimmy page was a self-richous ass wipe

  • They all were (im not sure about bonzo). But they sure are talented.

  • haha

    richous

    its righteous you mental midget

  • JPJ for LIFE!

  • nice video. i wish i was there

  • jimmymcclukcluk...that is honestly one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. NO ONE knows more about groove than ?uestlove. That's an ignorant thing to say, JPJ is all good, but to be honest, i'd rather see ?uestlove any day of the week. And the WHOLE POINT of the superjam was to unite musicians from different backgrounds and see what happened.

  • allstarcast

  • sweet, couldnt get any better start this saturday morning.

  • make you miss page when you hear the solo

  • Jonsey rules with the bass!!

  • Great clip and post Vazquez. Thanks!

  • Imagine if Jimmy was there.

    Hehe....lovely preformance...?ues killlllllllled it!

    and Harper....plus JPJ..my god..good show!!

  • Imagine if Jimi was there.

  • @SmoothRider2122 Jimi was there in spirit ;)

  • OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA from 5:45 Dazed and Confused solo

  • questlove and the roots are one of the best in todays music!

  • Amazing

  • you think i could get a copy of this shit is siiiiick

  • this is sick

id love to see jaco pastorius jam with

?uestlove. if u know who jaco is.

  • what if victor wooten jammed with ?uestlove :D

  • that would be so dope

  • or marcus miller:P

  • vic, ?uest and dj logic

  • fuck victor,i'd take jpj anyday,he played with bonham

  • I agree that JPJ is the superior musician that kinda goes without saying. But Ben Harper is an incredible musician, im guessing you've never heard his actual work or you are just incredibly close minded

  • you are ignorant man ?uestlove is one of the best musicians in the industry today. do you have any idea how many different shows he has done the musical arrangments for? the dude is incredible.

  • And you are nothing.

  • I think ?uestlove does so well here because he doesn't try to be bonham. ?uestlove is no doubt one of the most solid and creative drummers around today.

  • idk about you guys but i thought this was pretty sweet, the lap guitar was pretty cool. jonesy is as good as always, the drummer did a good job, its impossible to fill bonzos shoes anyways.

  • This is my new measuring stick for jammin'........

  • You had the best view in the house!

  • On that night -- and so many other nights at my beloved Bonnaroo -- so long as you could hear the show, there wasn't a bad seat in the place. I was workin' hard in the photo pit, simply thrilled by some hard workin' musos who love what they do and never became jaded.

  • Awesome just Amazing.

  • The people who are complaining about the drummer could not carry his sticks to the gig!

  • true this is good man

  • I went to pick up ?uest's sticks and they burned my hands like they were kryptonite! AAAHAHAHFGHAGHAHHHH!!!!!!!!

  • holy s**t, I didnt give Ben Harper any credit before, but this rocks!

?uestlove+JPJ gives us all hope for a better tomorrow

  • Amen!

  • ive heard this wut zep song is this

  • It's "How Many More Times" from their debut album "Led Zeppelin".

JPJ has lost none of his prodigious talent. The drummer is pretty hot too, but have to say not that convinced by the guitarist - maybe just out of his comfort zone - trying to reproduce the magic of someone else's performance even in your own style is always going to be a challenge.

  • man that dude may be a good drummer in other stuff but he really didnt show it here. i mean first of all his solo was just fills.

secondly he didnt really seem to playing off jpj at all...i mean he didnt really connect into the groove with him much.

and lastly he didnt do the awesome fills during the bridge of dazed and confused. granted im comparing him to the god himself bonzo but still..i expected more coz he is the only hip hop drummer that ive seen.

  • ?uestlove is amazing and so is jpj

never heard of the other guy playing the hawaiin slide guitar? or whatever it is but it sounds wicked sick

  • OMG... music progresses as The Roots progress.

  • The first thing I thought when I saw this was "?uestlove is a beast!"

  • how can you say ?uestlove sucks? what other hip-hop drummers do you have to compare too?

he is really good at what he does.

so i guess that john paul jones has a wider taste in music then some of you jokers...go figure...

  • I think JPJ lines needs a quite druming Doors style, or a quite Bonzo (no wonder why they made the biggest band)

  • ?uestlove is a fucking monster on the drums!!

  • Man, people who limit themselves to one genre usually talk out of their dumb ass. ?uest is a legend and to say otherwise is ignorance. THERES A WHOLE WORLD OF MUSIC OUTSIDE OF 60'S ROCK!!! ITS ALRIGHT TO LIKE SOMETHING OTHER THAN ZEPPELIN AND REO

  • Well said!

  • The BACK bone of the Zeppelin sound.
