He began doing extensive research, but the more he studied, the less he felt he knew. I am also not a big Tom Cruise fan with all of his scientolononsense. This movie was outstanding though. He did a fantastic job with this role. The supporting cast was equally exceptional and the score is so moving. Thank you for taking the time to post all of the pieces. Very enjoyable.

@StAndAl0neCompl3x No it's not, if you watch the film again, during the scene after he is first captured and he is getting drunk on Sake and having nightmares, there is a wailing girls voice used as part of the score. but this is not included in this song. i was wondering why..

@ecjj21 I don't know if you still didn't find out but here it is: There's a 2CD special edition version of the soundtrack. The first CD contains the parts how they were edited to be used in the film's scenes. So for what you wanted there are 3 songs(or short songs): Journey to the village (1:18), What is your name (0:29, the monks' chant) and Nightmares (2:11). I hope this helps.

One of the best parts of this movie was seeing Capt. Algren taking on all of the assassins WITHOUT his pistol, and using THEIR swords against them! I always remember that part every time I hear this part of the soundtrack.

As I listen to this, tears of sorrow roll down my cheeks for it is so beautiful...Hans Zimmer is awesome. He created many songs for great movies such as: The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Prince of Egypt, All the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, Gladiator, and the Lion King. Epic...just truly epic and beautiful. Every song he writes, I feel like I am actually in the movie. Very beautiful and sad <3.
