@SalindaKFlimz No, FCP is only for Macs. For something like this on PC check out Sony Vegas. It's a bit more simplistic, but the same.

Just a quick question, is there a way in FCP X to remove, say, the audio from a video clip like in Sony Vegas Pro? What I do is I detach the audio and just disable it but it would be great if I can get rid of it completely.

I'm tired of hearing the bitching. I've worked on every editing software thats out there and I actually love FCP X. I mean you do your film which is hard enough, as an indie filmmaker you carry many hats, directing, writing and yes even editing. So the LAST thing you want is to go into post using some complicated software, that equals more WORK. FCP X is easy to use, its not difficult and you can put together your film quicker. But in the end its all about a persons preference. I love FCP X.

Nice tutorial!

But I have yet to see any mention in any tutorial of what might be one of Final Cut's most useful features: you can audition not only individual clips but compound clips. This means that you can easily work on different edits of a scene and see results right away in their proper context. Fantastic for experimenting!

I haven't read all of the comments so someone may have beaten me to it, you do get a sound preview when scrubbing with the mouse. There is even a switch just above on the right side of that window to switch audio and and off for that.

Hi there, could really use some help. i am a cs5 user, new to FCP. when I try to put a transition (pan and zoom) between 2 shots, it pulls the audio down one line which creates a glitch in the audio - shortens the timeline. for the life of me I cant figure out what I am doing wrong...

@nnd990 It should. I have the same thing and I ran Final Cut Studio fine. The only thing you might want a little more RAM for is Motion 5 but other than that you should be fine.
