Messmarizing !! dis bloody song gets me straight to cloud nine.. Cant stop listening to this album, downloaded it @ DownloadMusic/./im , (remove the slashes) keepin listening to it wherever i go :)
I think its was about a year ago. He got it all done in Japan, where he actually lived for a while. Its cool, the place he got it all done has to allow you to get it, you cant just walk it and say give me a tattoo, they have to aprove you and think you're worthy, so thats pretty interesting they actually let him.
oh hell yes. I've seen him live in CT 3 times in the past 3 years. He is amazing. Gives me chills. I've gotten a few close up pix of him while he performs too, because I went for a "bathroom break" during intermission and hung out stage side right after. Best split second decision ever.
Novemebr 17, but the last album he had, the live album Where the Light Is, is actually unquestionably his best album. Anyone who wants to know what Mayer is all about, go listen to that live album. Unbelievable live musician.
"heart of glass" "Got no pills. If fear hasn't killed me yet, it never will" "fight on EVERYONE" This boy boy is talkin' about some serious intrapersonal work here. A new right and passage. This is ia wonderfully open, raw song. For some reason for me the sheer vulneravility of it excites me to life! Love it!
I always loved the honesty in his lyrics, something missing from much of mainstram music, not everyone can be so open and vulnerable with their lyrics. Thats one thing that you never have to question with JM
If anyone has been following his uploads, this song was created from the music in the "Field Trip" video he created. He said he didnt know at the time if it would lead to anything, but obviously it led to War of My Life.
I agree, I loved that little solo riff he has in the Field Trip video. It reminds me a lot of the style of guitar he played for the Justin Timberlake song that he transcribed; the I think She Knows video he put up. A little different than what he has been doing, but still really cool.
Grab the audio from this tune at soundnabber doht cohm.

I read a story about it right after he got it done, I thought that was pretty cool. I never knew he actually lived there, he can speak Japanese too.
