72 year old Great grandma "HD" Tasered during traffic stop

She was obviously out of line, but I don't think taser use was warranted. She said she would sign the ticket and the discussion should have ended there. Tasers are supposed to be an alternative to lethal force and I seriously doubt any officer would have shot her. At the very least he could have just put her in handcuffs.

I'd tase her just for being a stupid ass old lady. It's a fucking ticket, you broke the speed limit in a construction zone. Being a 72 year old dumb ass doesn't exclude you from obeying the speed limits or from getting tickets. You are almost guaranteed to trigger cardiac dysrythmia by tasing someone of that age (and without an EKG, one could easily miss atrial fibrillation). If you carry a taser as a "public servant" you should care about such possibilities. He could have maced her...

This is simply put: a Display of amateurism by the police: He lost his temper when he should be the one that remains calm! He abused his power & taser-gun access... Reacting like an angry kid. Kids are not allowed to handle guns,because they are immature. This cop should not be allowed to handle a taser, let alone a gun. Cops like this arrogant, unporfessional guy should not be alowed to have authority over people! The public deserves protection from such abusive cops! His chief makes it worse!

So I'm confused. The lady didn't comply after several warnings. She endangered the life of the officer. And in the end, both where unharmed, the lady was rightfully arrested, and the situation was resolved. Sounds like a job well done. Its actually good to see an officer not let age fool you. You learn quick and to often the hard way that a persons looks can fool you. I mean what was he suppose to do. He did as he was trained.

@wmalcom the point is why wouldnt she just signt the freaking ticket, he even told her it's not an admission to guilt!!!! she could of had her day in court to get it dimissed but she knew that she messed by speeding in a CONSTRUCTION zone in the middle of the day. She was just pissed off because she got caught, plus in our great state of Texas, if you refuse to sign a ticket you can/will get arrested.
