.......in realtà lei in natura ha un timbro decisamente più chiaro. l'usura della sua voce nel tempo è dovuto a questo artifizio, peccato perchè senza questo inutile sforzo la sua voce sarebbe stata si più brillante e meno scura ma con la naturale bellezza del suono e la maggior sicurezza ed omogeneità in tutta l'estensione sarebbe durata di più ed avrebbe potuto osare di più nel repertorio........

.........il problema della Barcellona, alla quale bisogna però riconoscere una naturale bellezza di suono, è che per voler brunire la voce artificialmente è costretta a fare questi "suoni di bocca" che però la penalizzano, ad esempio c'è una frattura con le note di petto (per non dire addiritura un buco) che esegue con una posizione totalmente differente ed una inevitabile assottigliamento anche del volume nello scendere sino al fatidico passaggio.

listen to giada amparan to hear a young dramatic mezzo who understands the music and can deliver the declamation. i love this voice but it has a wobble and is very limited because of faulty technique

Forse qualche piccolissimo problema d'intonazione c'è, ma tutto sommato, il colore brunito, il legato, lo "charme" interpretativo, fanno di lei una grande artista.

Vorrei far notare agli ignoranti di turno che Favorita è uno dei suoi cavalli di battaglia. Chi dice che non fa per lei, semplicemente non ha orecchie. E non ha orecchiO chi dice che ha problemi di intonazione.

C'mon, boo-- this is Donizetti, not Rossini, in fact towards the end of Donizetti's career, pushing towards early Verdi. Those ornaments have got to go. I'm wondering about some technical things that I hear going on. It's interesting how the voice works amazingly well when constantly in motion, but long sustained lines that reach into the upper voice tend to get a little iffy. 3/5

As with other singer in this contest it's impossible to understand a word ! Pity she didn't do the italian version that would be much more suitable for her. I didn't like de variations but that's a question of taste.

Hey give her a break and some room! She's used to an empty stage not a crowded platform. On a stage her acting is perfect. She is brilliant as Falliero in 'Biance and Falliero' in a live performance on dvd.

You are right ! I don't like her vibrato, either.

I hear a little wobble in her her voice, what is going to be bigger, in time, like Eva Marton.

Nowadays, Eva Marton's voice is unbearable.

Well her look has improved a lot! She's starting to look more female, even if she looks like someone from another era. What money can do! Yes, she has an impressive voice and her coloratura is excellent, but there is still something about her technique and delivery that doesn't thrill me.

No, it's called a lot of mismatched coloratura, what I mean is: the coloratura at the repeat pf the cabaletta is impressive, but it doesn't exactly suit the music.

Shocked she did the French. She should have done the Italian, as it might have helped open up her sound more. She seems bogged down by the language. The voice and tone lacks clarity. She's commited to what she's doing though, that is for sure. It's just not a convincing version. 3/3
