  • Awesome

  • Love it

  • i love BAKAAAAA

  • Love it - Can some of you kind Baka Beyond people tell me if this is played on a particular tuning - any tablature knocking about for it - ta.

  • @hashapeler They're all playing standard tuning. Come along to one of our Baka camps and I'll show you how to do it

  • Does anyone know what type of Guitar that these young men are playing? RED, BLACK, and BLUE shirt?

  • I love you beautiful children, keep dancing

  • Congratulations for getting such good sound with the endless acoustic pitfalls that you would encounter in the forest. Very nice for the world to see the musical joy of the baka people.

  • @joelche The sound on this film is straight off the camera! The whole film is completely unedited and 1 take, so I was impressed by the mics on the high end consumer panasonic camera. I probably EQ'd it, but can't remember to be honest. the Baka will always get a really good balance amonst themselves so are a joy to record. I'll be back there within 2 weeks!! (Away from this cold, back to the warm tropical heat)

  • Where can one purchase this track?

  • @timtak1 This track is not currently available but you can get similar ones on iTunes - Orchestre Baka de Gbine's album Gati Bongo. Or you can get the CD direct from the bakabeyond website

  • @bakabeyond

  • this is beautiful

  • bon bon bon bon bon bon bon bon bon tre bon

  • Life is simple. Hapiness is in sharing and celebrating life trow the music...amasing...

  • At exactly 6:01,the little baby smiles as he's bounced around, just adorable!

  • Sadly we heard last week that this little baby died. Life is hard there and 1 in 4 children die before they are 5!

Funds from sales of the Baka's music is helping and we have set up free healthcare with a local mission hospital - the only people in Cameroon with a national health service!

  • I'm so sorry to hear that. Infant mortality is indeed high in this part of the world, glad to hear you guys are helping out.

  • Wow! Those kids can really keep time :) that is the best kind of music, when everyone just wants to be part of it :D

  • thats a hypnotic jam right there. those kids know how to lay down some clapping to, goooood stuff!

  • and people tell us we shouldn't give the Baka guitars!!

  • Peace and happiness to the Baka!
