I know... but this is a cover of the cover version from Donnie Darko. I don't care about the original version all that much, because it doesn't capture the mood of the lyrics very well. It's rare that a cover version is better than the original, but in this case, that's the fact (at least for me). Besides, in the Tags it says: Tears for fears ;)

If he is for real -- and I think he is -- he needs to fulfill his promise with original material and a recording contract or joining with a band.

Actually it`s Tears for Fears song, recorded in 1982. So the song in Donnie Darko is just a cover.
