Zero, Cation on the router bit in the drill press. I would be afraid it might snag the fiberglass and rip it apart. Might be better to put a sanding drum in your drill press instead of the router bit.
Well done. I used a similar technique as yours and Llewgnal while transporting the extended bed between my band-saw and milling machine but others may use a pillar drill for the holes instead of a milling machine - same constant precision result either way. Keep up the good work.
YOUTUBE: "Meissner Effect - BBC Visions of the Future, The Quantum Revolution" a little dry ice and some copper ceramic and you can have zero-friction rotor powered by anti-gravity.
The last line of caption on this video made me LMAO!!!
So sorry man... but that was a perfectly hillarious way to end that. I'm sure you won't think so... at least not yet, but man from the easy boy chair here watching it... it was funny.
the best bits to use have lots of teeth like files, they wil lcut phenolic like butter, i have been cutting this stuff on a cnc machine, and these bits are wonderful, (Diamond Grind Router bits at maford dot com)they make alot of dust, but they cut extremely great!
the dea lwith phenolic is you have to go slow or you risk overheating the tools, which happens very quickly with this material, its very dense and prefers super sharp cuters with lots of chip removal.... keep up the videos i look weekly to keep up!
An excellent series of videos. I enjoy your approach to problems with your "out of the box" thinking. You know, with all your gear there, the one thing you are lacking is a good small lathe. It would make your life so much easier to be able to turn your own shafts, bases, disks and PCDs for accurately locating magnets and coils.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing with us.
Nice work zero! One thing I have done in the past is put a wire on the top of the marker to the shaft so the tilt of the marker is always the same. But since your going to cut it out via a sweet jig on the drill press, it don't madder! :) love the ending! Be safe! Keep up the good work! ~Russ
You may look into a mill type bit for steel I have worked with this stuff before it's not easy we used templates then route in several passes even after roughing it out and don't breath the dust it's no good, can't wait to see the new build thanks for sharing
@DrSaminstine Well, I guess we're all going to find out how well the router bit works in this instance. Just as soon as my new band saw blades arrive, hopefully Monday or Tuesday. They only have to come to CT from Holyoke, MA.
Is there an advantage of using a drill press with router bit as apposed to just using the router with a similar jig? I am probably just going to make a simple router jig that also fits into the 3/8 hole.
The challenge I am faced with is sizing and positioning the magnet holes perfectly so rotor remains relatively well balanced.
Why did you not use the 'hole-pin' method to rough out the rotor dia. on the band saw(by extending the table with plywood like you are going to do with the drill press)?
@AZFIREBALL56 Because there's no real good way to clamp a piece of plywood to the band saw table and I didn't feel like drilling a hole through it. ;-)
Good luck Zero! I too am in process of version 2 of this motor. I know from personal experience how time flies when you get into these projects but if ANYONE is going to find the "real deal" it will more than likely be you.
@ZeroFossilFuel Unless you have superconductive coils any attempt to harvest the back EMF of the collapsing magnetic field from one coil & using it to drive the next coil, will just be a process of deminishing returns.
We are immersed in a sea of free energy so looking to create energy from nothing is a pointless & futile venture. I hate to sound negative especially as I do not put in the time you do attempting to create something positive. Best of luck but dont give up if this doesnt work.
@Gyva02 its a loaded question. If you watched his vids instead of wanting someone to spoon feed you; you would know that he shelved the hho stuff once he proved the theory that hho does more then replace fuel, it makes the burn more efficient. proven beyond reasonable doubt and has now decided to put his mind to another task; that being the search for zero point energy devices or, devices to extract energy from currently unknown or known sources to do work, in this case create usable power
@lynel1985 True, I have shown beyond doubt that gains can be achieved but I have only achieved gains in a carburetted ICE on a test bench under somewhat controlled conditions. I still have not achieved same in a standard fuel injected automobile. At some point I will return to this as well. When I have more time! HA!
I'm so sorry I couldn't tell my friends to watch, what friends..
Its nothing against you ,i don't have any friends..
is your mueller controller something like a monovibrator.. I thought for how much people who've played with monovibrators and they could use a bistable circuit to really play with the timing of how long the coil is activated or there's all sorts of configurations to drive pulse motors than the monovibrator/shmitt trigger besides what i brainstormed the other night. Great update..

Sorry Zero, TPU Bruce's Channel on you tube.
He's been replicating the Steven Mark Solid State Gene', he got so far, and has gone quiet, probably caught up in other things.
I found your site on his channel, he favoured you.
Love your work Zero, great teaching.

Is that drill press going to have enough RPM's to run a router bit?
cousinles80 4 months ago
@cousinles80 I doubt it, not sure how strong is material but router's motors are wild horses.

@cousinles80 It may be slow going but precision is more important.

Set a speed square on your table next to your bit, then adjust. Don't know if that would be more precise than you already had though.

@Gyva02 I did. What I SHOULD have done is set my square against the 7" long shaft in the chuck instead of the drill bit that I used.
