Those guys were replaced with Triple H, The Rock, and Austin. And those guys have been replaced with Cena, Orton, Miz. Wrestling continues to creat stars.
And it's not Vince's fault that he lost Michaels, Batista, or the Hardys. Michaels retired, Batista retired, and when Taker leaves, it's because he retires.

Wrestlemania has always done fantastic buys regardless of what Taker did at Mania.

@quinsborou You do know WWE is scripted, all professional wrestling is scripted (though, I heard rumors that ROH's Pure title at one point was not scripted) Arn Anderson has the best legacy of any wrestler, besides maybe Flair and Michaels. AA had the best ring psychology and best wrestling ability, and the only reason he never made it far was politics, and the fact that he wanted to do what was best for the company, and help younger talent. AA is what every wrestler should strive for.
