Going off a top rated comment hating against Jews, I feel like I'm missing something. What makes that kid Jewish? Because he's wearing a black suit and a fedora? His other friends are wearing plaid, suspenders, and jackets. This is a film about countercultures in the 80s, and because of that I immediately thought he was a Mod more than anything. I actually did go to this school. Wilsthorpe Community school as it was then, Business and Enterprise college now I think. Teachers pets and good kids were chosen for the backing characters, you know the sort. I am not bitter. It is/was a dive of a school! Had some good times though!
