Quin Snyder - lowlights from the 1988 Final Four

Quinn was incredible when he played for Mercer Island high school. I played against him and he was really great. He actually wanted to go to the University of Washington, but they fired the coach of UW his senior year and decided to go to Duke. Quinn always seemed kind of tight playing for Duke and always thought he would have been a better ball player, playing for UW in front of the home town crowd.

Quin is mainly known to Jayhawk fans as the former coach of the Missouri Tigers, one of Kansas' fiercest rivals. Jayhawk fans would usually pick on Coach Synder for looking like a cracked-out mad scientist, running a dirty program, or for perennially underachieving at Missouri despite having lots of talent. The majority of Kansas fans could probably not tell you that, as a Duke player, Quin was defeated by the '88 Jayhawks (National Champs) in the Final Four.

Yea, that makes sense. I liked him as a player but he is a "pretty boy". The biggest thrill of his life is to tell people he was Danny Ferry's roommate. You can run with that one too - HA!

i will tell you the beef is that duke beat kansas at kansas on feb 20th 1988 because of quin he had 21 points and 11 assists in that game,the reason quin played so badly in this game he jammed his shooting fingers as you see in this video,if you ever played bball you know how much that hurts and can affect your shooting.

i will tell you the beef is not that duke did anything -- aside from the fact that they lost to Kansas in the Final Four -- that's nice and all -- but this video is not about duke, really -- it is about Kansas fans' disgust with quin snyder, the former coach of the missouri tigers -- Quin could be wearing a UNC, MSU, UNLV, UK, or UCLA jersey and this would still be just as amusing for the average Kansas fan -- settle down Dukie --
