@RTD8481 I couldn't agree with you more. The 6000 series were the workhorses of CTA's rail fleet. I grew up riding those cars. I was so saddened when CTA announced that the 6000s were being put out of service for good. I was in high school when it happened. I should have ditched school so I can just ride in those cars for the last time. It would have been worth it.
That was back then, when they had conductors on the train. It was two operator, but in the late 90's they got rid of the operator, Not only one person drives the trains, but opens the doors and calling out the stops.

Hands down the greatest elevated cars ever made, the 6000s series. New York or any other city couldnt compare to these awesome subway cars.

Man, I missed it cause i was born in July 3, 2002. They looked good back then but they are two loud. By the way awesome video!!!!!!!!!!!

This was on the first of the three "final" trips, a Rave train at about 7:30am. I was on the rear end of the train for this trip.
