  • Really war is the enevitable result of two rapidly expanding nations having their borders run together. Strategic control of resources, trade routes, and talent pools become the foci for leverage over the other side.

The Alliance is acting in its best interest. The more systems Abh controls the fewer places its own ships can travel, limiting humanities ability to forge their own future. Abh complete domination of the space lanes and its aristocrisy are anthema to everything the UM stands for

  • what i really like about this anime is that the creator of this anime created the language that shows up at the begining of the show i think that that shows the great amount of detail that went into this anime

  • 3:02 Hello Captain (pant, pant) :)

  • is she phrasing them or mocking them? i can't tell....

  • So the Alliance is basically made up of the four remaining major space nations which have not fallen to the empire yet? lol, don't know who to root for since the Abh are the invaders at the beginning of this series but after meeting Lafiel and her crewmates they don't seem all that bad...

  • Yeah, especially since the 4 free interstellar humankind nations are all democratic, and the Humankind Empire Abh is a monarchy. Just goes to show that war is never about good vs. evil, never black and white.

  • no that not there not all democratic and the Abh monarchy is not lifetime thing they get 15 years. second there are many problems with what your say the United mankind was working on the heyd system that why the Abh invade

  • No you see the Alliance may seem like good guys, but they have been even bigger bullies then Abh you see the Abh don't belive in messing with the plant rules. Alliance you must obey there laws.

  • Yeah, they (the Abh) basically conquer as Alexander the Great did: Leave the locals in charge but make them pay Empire taxes, or be destroyed.

Also, I'm not saying the free humankind nations are good. They are just different. However, the Abh seem to be expanding their Empire, while the free humankind nations seem to be trying to start a war against it, through shady means.

  • the dude that does the opening sounds French to me lol

  • Getting to be one of the best animes for me.

  • better then best.. amazing if you ask me

  • Thay have such pretty names, tha abhs.

  • agreed, but some are hard to remember at first, lol. btw, whats the deal with that little message that keeps appearing in the center of the screen? really annoying

  • yeah i hate tat too

  • sort of like entrance/exit to a tunnel(hyperspace

  • I've watched star wars, but not the other one...I think I get it...Thank you for the detailed description Zeek72

  • ya but in banner of the stars the abh had problems with the united mankind new mine weapons, and the abh had to place lots of mines around the sord to stop the new mines. That is right, right? From what I saw/Remember from the series

  • so the most advantageous point of attack on the abh is when they bubble out? or setting mines infront of the bubble so the ones coming out dont have a chance to react?

  • It's A taer that's opened between dimensions but only in certains parts of space and is used for tansportation. Only problem is they're not always open and you can't see past the bubble that forms around the ship so till you and your enemies bubbles reach others you have to rely on radar to see and missles/mines as weapons.

  • Can someone please explain the concept of a sord for me...it still makes absolutely no sense to me.

  • a slipstream rupture for hyperspace travel... haven't you ever watched Star Wars or Andromeda?

  • one word that probably will be closest...wormhole
