As long as the billionaires can feed, hell is all good. We will go and hide in our forts built inside the mountains while you all starve to death. Hell is all good. Every time there is a fucking crisis, is the working class who pays the price. We are just feeding these fucking people while they seat and set policies and rules that make them more powerful and hard to prosecute. Farting all day in their chairs. Eating fancy food. Smelling the money all the way to the bank. Change we need my butt.
When you look at Peak Oil, Climate Change and Population growth there is no doubt that humanity is headed towards a huge crises. Some scientists think man could go extinct in a 100 years...I personally don't think that this will happen, but what will happen is major population die offs. World population is going to hit 9.2 billion by 2050...There is no way we can continue business as usual with that amount of people. Civilization will collapse eventually...History has proven this!
the solution is simple...people need to go on diets...people need to learn how to eat organic foods (i went on a diet with organic foods and ive lost alot of weight and i dont really eat as much as i use to so i waste less money on food and i eat less without starving)...the government needs to lay down restrictions on how many kids adults can have (two or three kids max)...and people need to learn how to hydrate because if they hydrate right, we can feel fuller and you lose that anxiety to eat.
Sounds like you're worried, and rightly so. Read up on permaculture girlfriend, this gardening technique can be used in the most arid of lands... effectively. NZ is a great place for growing almost anything - and if you live anywhere near Ruapehu... avocado trees will love the volcanic soil. Permaculture is most certainly the future. Visit an eco-village near you, observe their ways, listen and learn, and put it into practice - you'll be fine.
I think I can adapt to the new conditions (riding my bike and eating more beans and such) but I can't see some of the elderly people in my neighborhood being able to adapt. One old lady I know sees it coming and is worried.
I have a great deck garden that I'm using mainly to practice for when we have to dig up all our lawns and plant potatoes. I think it will come to that as early as next year.
Great video! It's weird to see the things I've been expecting to see actually starting to happen. Scary too.
I'm working on adapting to the new conditions even though I live in the land of 300lb people where the roads are dominated by SUV's. I'm eating way less meat and substituting much more beans and rice or beans and wheat for my protean. And I ride my bike to work 2 days a week now. I figure if I adapt now, it will be less painful when things start to get bad.
the same thing happened to Rome at the height of its glory, the price of grain 4x and nobody noticed, until a great collapse
something happened to Enron, they hide the debt until they imploded
ask your self the people that run the show do you really think they would warn us, or try to save their own families, while hiding it until its too late

per enron
they failed and went bankrupt because of failure to run natural gas pipeline from afghanistan to bhopal india
note:
that pipeline was being built as of 2006
interesting how war over there made that possible
pipelines and more with good old fashioned empiracal war
