@TJSlipperman You're probably right. Bryanston Pictures was the original distributor of this film (and, if memory serves, this was the first film to use the logo). When Golden Harvest retained the rights to this film, they put their 1978 logo over the Bryanston audio, to haunting effect!
Incidentally, the very original logo in the Chinese version was actually the rare "white line" GH logo! I don't know if any Chinese DVD release has that anymore, unfortunately.
