  • And refined white sugar and brown sugar isnt causing cancer, heart disease and diabetes? Did this lady say that she was a nutritionist? Did this recipe really say heart healthy?

  • im glad to see a man doing the work for a change...whooo ooh! wish my husband can make cookies for the kids.

  • White flour, sugar and canola oil should not be in a HEALTHY recipe.

  • It would be good if you gave measurements on the ingredients.

  • which is the best way to prepare oat? raw oat with milk, oat with hot water or boilling oat?

  • I've just read something about canola being bad for your health. Even tho it has the lowest amount of bad fats it has some bad for health effects lol :P

  • Trying to post the recipe for you. I am having some trouble. Will get it posted shortly. If you want to search them. Go to the Manitoba Canola Growers website and do a recipe search for chewy cinnamon oat cookies.

  • 3:33 Youthful hands! How does he do it? Yea, flashing a recipe would have been handy. Don't bother with the website unless you have all day. Oh, sponsored by canola growers association. Well then, there it is.

  • I normally cut out the white sugar completely. I find that it is sweet enough with all the raisins. ( I like more raisins!) :)

  • i said splenda i meant stevia

  • if you need a fat in your diet, use coconut oil, which would be fine for both baking and for sauteing.

Fats necessary in humans: polyunsaturated fats, unsaturated fats, AND saturated fats.

Horrible fat are the TRANSfats, which are artificial. Transfats were the ones the studies were talking about, but instead of saying TRANSfats, they said saturated fats.

You can substitute organic maple syrup for sugar if needed. If it changes the taste use, organic brown sugar or splenda.

  • America HAS decreased their intake of saturated fat, yet heart disease has continued to climb. It isn't the fat (although trans fats do contribute), it's the sugar, refined grains, and commercial (cheap) oils, like the ingredients in this recipe. I'm sorry, but this really isn't healthy for people who have or who are at risk for heart disease.

  • The chocolate cookie they showed at the beginning looked better than their cookies.

  • Recipe:

    1 cup oil / butter

1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar

    3 cups rolled oats

1-1/2 cup plain flour (or wholemeal flour)

    2 eggs

1 tsp each vanilla and baking soda

    1 tbs cinnamon powder

    1 cup raisin / cranberry

*This was something I made before, and I used the above measurements for good and chewy cookie. YUM!
