Use Butch's Triple Twill patches and you don't have to worry about lint coming off in your barrel. They cost a bit more but are worth the peace of mind.
Do you think that WD-40 can be substituted for the break-free CLP? An employee at my shooting range told me that he cleans his firearms with WD-40 adding, "Do you think they're sending gun solvent to our military in Iraq and Afghanistan?". If you don't think it can be substituted may I ask where you're getting break-free CLP and the ultima-lube? I'm having a hard time finding both. Thanks in advance!
If you have to push the wire brush through the barrel from the back towards the front, why are you pulling the brush back the opposite way? Doesnt that defeat the purpose?
@chrisgordish1 I assume it's because of the twist of the rifling in the barrel and that of the brush...but that's not something I pretend to know the answer to
@chrisgordish1 I believe brushing it from the back helps keep the metal parts of the cleaning rod from touching the inside of the crown at the business end which will effect accuracy if you nick the barrel there. If you use the nylon glock brush with the nylon rod, it shouldn't matter. It would bre tough to nick the barrell, but it's a good habit and precision shooters would have a fit if they saw someone inserting a cleaning rod from the front. Hope that helps!
good video man
