@sharinganshark1111 well, we aren't really acting it out. we sometimes read it out loud and i was Mary Warren. but otherwise, we read an act, get a quiz, and watch that act (the movie)... it's pretty good. there seems to be a lot of screaming going on! it's quite entertaining! it's a sad thing this actually happened though. :(

@sharinganshark1111 that's cool. he's a peculiar character in the movie... in the beginning it's like he is/was stuck up and then he begins to see the actual damage that can be done (i believe starting when elizabeth proctor gets taken to jail)... but yeah, it's a really neat book/movie/story!

Yeah, it is John Proctor. We just read this a few months ago, in 10th. It's because he stood up for his beliefs and didn't cave into what the society was doing to everyone, and he died for his beliefs as well.

what i find hillarious is practically EVERYONE who makes a trailer for the crucible uses the song requiem for a dream from lotr. haha that song is so overused in fan-made trailers for any drama movie

ermm... actually "Requiem for a Dream" is actually from the movie/story "Requiem for a Dream"...which is a very messed up story/movie. Don't watch it unless you have a tolerance for mentally screwed up endings. It's hard for me to describe what it's about... basically, it starts off with this guy, his grandma (TV junkie), his friend, and his girlfriend... they start drug dealing and bad stuff happens..

It's called "Lux Aeterna" by Clint Mansell. It was made for the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. There was an alternate version that was made for the Two Towers, but it was only used in the trailer and does not appear on the soundtrack.
