good video. i have new white shirt with a purple check, about 1.5 cm squares, i have no idea what to wear with it. i cant find many ties with a purple pattern that i like, and most of them are too small, as you said, big check: big pattern.
The key is to keep the scale of the designs different, so if the size of the shirt check is 1.5cm x 1.5cm the scale of the design on the tie should be bigger than this.
A nice option from our current Spring/Summer 2010 range is the Cole Purple & White Wide Stripe Woven Tie (TW490PUR).
