It's nearly impossible to believe that this song is ten years old! That's ten years of my soul being moved to tears. This song is utterly beautiful, so poignant and uplifting. I truly believe that everyone (especially women), will find themselves at stages in their lives when this song hits just the right spot. My favorite phrase on the the song is "When there is no one else look inside yourself". Because many women seem to think that they are incomplete without a men by their side but that isn't true, it is good to have someone to share your life but also you can be a great human being on your own.

@erdvilla Very true. In fact, in my experience, I am actually better on my own. I'm not saying that I don't wish for the "one" with whom to share my life someday, but all of my past relationships actually stripped me of so much of my inner strength, confidence and joy. If a relationship makes you cry more often than smile...or has you constantly questioning yourself & feeling uncertain, it isn't healthy & it's time to move on. I'd rather be alone & smiling than the alternative. ;-)

@ioioiohjiohoi LOL, are you aware what the first video of this album was like? Besides I thought this, as a teenager at the time, an extremely sexy video. You don't often see a singer put her breasts on display like this. Great song and great artist though.
About tv, there may be a bit more dead on tv with the insane amount of crime shows nowadays. Besides that nothing changed in the past 20 years. I can't judge the pre baywatch years, I'm not that old.

Though I understand that the video for Dirrty (also directed by David LaChappelle) was a parody on today's oversexed culture. No one understood Christina during her Stripped phase, but I believe it's one of the best (and most daring) pop albums of the century. Peace.
