The Jets had a team and didnt show up and support it the first time around, so why should they get a second chance? Move the team to another US city. There are at least a dozen with more money than the arctic wasteland that is winnipeg. And no NHL players would want to play there anyways.

I don't like GB, but he makes some good points. The problem with him is he shouldn't be the Commish, but he has a place in sports administration. He helped the NBA come a long way, he just shouldn't be the main man in the NHL. Get someone in their who knows a thing or two outside the MBA class.

So..... it would seem that the league would rather lose money on keeping a team. Because small man Bettman has a grudge against Balsillie. I also feel the need to add, that the NHL is putting down a $140 million bid on a no fan team like the coyotes but the Jets didnt get a penny of NHL support despite a multitude of fans.
