  • fucking great black poetry!

  • I want to kill myself right now.

  • <3

  • 480p - win :))))))))

  • These lyrics are stunning.

There's a girl I'm love with and the lyrics really sum up how I feel.

  • Cool

  • First, I LOVE ''This Deadful Emptiness''! It's one of the best songs I've ever heard, but this song is shit compared to it. I like the feel, and the vocals, but that break in the middle sounds like a part from a metalcore song. That little bit ruins the whole song for me :/ sorry for bitching.

  • this song really touches my soul.

  • just close your eyes and go .... gone

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, i guess the drums could be better but the vocals are amazing, not normally my thing but really good.

  • i am 60 odd years old and i love this type of metal

  • it doesn't sounds like Austere does. anyways, the guitars are the same... i guess...

  • Austere take us away...

  • Really powerful song. Excellant stuff.

  • Um.., the new woods of desolation is pretty good

  • Hmm, why should people bitch over things like this? Should DBM only be restricted to dark, growling voices? Music is so versitile today, why eat the same ingredients in a soup when you can spice it up a little? Sometimes it can mean epic success, just like Austere. Accept new elements, its becuase of that music GETS better, and you get something fresh and unique eventually (=

  • thanks for the post \m/

  • Don't forget COLDWORLD!!!!

  • DEPRESSIVE BLACK METAL IS THE STREAM OF FREEDOM

  • @manuiavazzo

    I fully agree

  • Wedard,nocturnal depression,make a change,AUSTERE !!!

  • thanks to b.g. from black hate that recomend me this band is f-ing awesome

  • when black metal met emo :S

  • @cRypT0cHiLd duhh... this is not emo. WTH?

  • @parisvioletha alright just to clear things out with you douchebags that keep commenting back on me

yes this kind of vocals are pretty lame emo vocals . there are thousands of types of clean vocals but this sub-category of clean vocals can clearly be categorized to emo! sorry about that but thats just what my ears hear . alsoo duuuuuh is anoying and blondish ! now go play with your barbies! and try listen to some troo black metal and then come back and state you shit worth opinion

  • @cRypT0cHiLd Retard.

  • @cRypT0cHiLd Austere= Emo???what the hell is TROO Black Metal???stupid Cocksucker :D

  • @cRypT0cHiLd sad song with clean vocals=emo?

  • when he changes clean vocals into scream vocals he's near perfection

  • As always, another nearly perfect song from Austere! Be sure to check out their other works: Grey Waters and Woods of Desolation.

  • cant we do without the "labels"....?????

  • I won't get into the scene emo shit but the stuff people referred to as "screamo" back then actually had a lot in common with BM. As for stuff from that era which encouraged cutting, maybe Usurp Synapse's Wrist, Meet Razor. Far cry from this stuff though but I can see some parallels with the way some post-hardcore and screamo bands write. It's just a completely different aesthetic.

  • @treblinkalovescene I've felt the same way about the two scenes. Very seperate, but surprisingly have many similarities. I don't listen to the really old screamo material, but I have checked it out.

  • lokazo

  • Passionately sexual... I might want to get impregnated to this.

  • Can we please not discuss "emo music" under this video? It is an utter disgrace to mention any type of emo music, old OR new, under Austere's majestic wing!

  • @rekkuza2000 thanx

  • @rekkuza2000 it's also an utter disgrace to live in ignorance. nothing wrong with giving people another view on things.

  • this fucking drum!!! nice! ανάμεσα στην ζωή και στην αίσθηση. se ligo kairo ! 8a to akute!

  • no emo will be like black metal death metal even goregrind etc not in this god damn life way to sappy crap like mickey mouse to godzilla crushing tokyo then the emos

    hail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • black metal of any kind to me is awesome like a cold steel knife running thru my body and coldness of the the dark beauty of it is like that machete or razor blade to further into your soul even then left for vultures to feed on. i rather feel that and listen to black metal than stupid shittney smears bieber and that poppish garbage

  • 2:13! Goosebumps

  • please, tell me any "emo"-song which sound just a little bit like this bm-masterpiece.

The most "emo"- never look really depressiv. look, they made a psych-mistake like to cut in the arms to a fucking teeny trend.

The people who really cut themselves in the arms have real problems and so "emo´s" shit on their feelings. what must someone with these problems think when he see´s, that hir problem was made to a teeny trend by these "emo" faggots?

  • @DarkenedEmptyWorld Have you tried listening to older emo bands such as Indian Summer, Saetia, Yaphet Kotto, Unwound etc? Most emo-bands sound really bland these days. If you go back to the roots maybe you will find something that you like.

And these teeny faggots you speak of are called "scene-kids". I don't really know why they have chosen to cut themselves. I have yet to hear an emo-song, old or new, where cutting your own flesh is encouraged. Judge music by its quality, not by its fans.

  • @forerunner06 check up A vain attempt - I can't escape

song my girlfriend listens to now and then, the text mentions razors and cutting. and there is other songs mentioning stuff like that in emo music :p

  • @sadade32 I quote myself: "I have yet to hear an emo-song, old or new, where cutting your own flesh is ENCOURAGED." It's like you said; the song MENTIONS razors, it doesn't ENCOURAGE anyone to cut themselves as far as I can tell.

I can assure you that almost every genre has lyrics where "cutting" is MENTIONED. Check out the lyrics to the song Death Pierce me by the BLACK METAL band Silencer for example.

  • @Spiker753

WTF EMO u FURKING IDIOT !

  • DON'T get me wrong you guys, buy it sounds more emo than dsbm..I know some of you are gonna flame like fucking faggots. I didn't say it was a bad song.

  • @Slipnotes

This is so sad. The emo scene had destroyed our look for good music.

Heavy Guitar + Clean Vocals + Depressive ambient = emooo.

This is so sad... But you're not alone my friend. First I thought the same. ;)

  • @Spiker753 I know man. Dsbm is my favourite genre, but adding clean vocals makes it sound very close to emo music, which sucks major balls to tell you the truth. -.-

  • bestttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt faccccccccccccccccccccc besttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt! kafroi!!!!!! yayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • LYRICS :

I've given and taken and given,

Now in my world of only your vision.

Faces of white wrapped in delicate decay,

Oh please, why won't you take me away?

    Reaching toward a pale illusion,

One which will never become real.

    Just suppose for a moment,

It was not just a dream...

  • Comment removed

  • ab abnd taht schoulnd´t have splitet

  • A big fuckin R.I.P.

  • why did they have to end, at least there is still Grey waters

  • I've given and taken and given,

Now in my world of only your vision.

Faces of white wrapped in delicate decay,

Oh please, why won't you take me away?

    Reaching toward a pale illusion,

One which will never become real.

    Just suppose for a moment,

It was not just a dream...

  • whats the point of the 6 mins after the song?..

  • boring hipster faggotry

  • Will everybody shut the fuck up about "black metal"?

  • about the older comments, its well known that the bands kalled as black metal (not raw, old school, or true) are the ones from the first and second wave (80´s and some of the early 90´s), and well the newest and the majority of the 90´s bands went to a more experimental sounds (when depressive, raw, pagan, etc) where "born".

  • Drudkh do it wonderfully, Austere does it wonderfully.

As for the influences - I'm reckoning love and the melancholy it often beckons in Human connection. Hence - pale illusions, etc. as well as the entirety of the album, well not entirety, but majority.

  • Excellent song here! The beginning reminds especially reminds me of Agalloch. The vocals put against the black metal riffing makes a perfect combination, or close thereof.

  • taking it back to the song...

you know clean vocals are really underrated on the BM scene, and i think they go perfect whit this song

  • stupid arguments on a fucking truly talented bands vid....

  • The riff is pretty much STOLEN from Drudk - Ukrainian Insurgent Army

  • What ever, Drudkh still does it better.

  • ridicoulus arguments about black metal detected.

how dare you to call slipknot and cradle of filth black metal?

    theyre crap.

if you want to get some good blackmetal then listen to Lantlos, Lyrinx, Shining, Wolves in the Throne Room or Lifelover.

    Faggots...

  • couldn't agree more haha

  • @mighthornybitch

who ever said slipknot is black metal lolz??? I didnt even think they tried to pretend to be black metal, and I must say I like cradle, but I have to admit they are not black metal

  • hahahahahaha slipknot is as black metal as lady gaga...

  • Haha mostly when people involve Slipknot in black metal conversation they're just trolling..

  • yay, lifelover!

Cradle of filth's old stuff is good though...(but slipknot sucks!)

  • @EyelessEntity agreed cradle of filth older stuff is good, also this song is amazing

  • Yes, well I like a lot of Cradle's songs, because they were the first metal band I ever listened to, but after "Dusk...and Her Embrace" they kind of leave the black metal genre to something like gothic extreme idk. But their new songs are just ...weird..

    Agreed, this songs is wonderful!

  • @EyelessEntity there first album i heard from them where cruelty and the beast and ever since became a fan of there older stuff intell the succubi album.

  • @mike23335 you are a fucking disgusting gay cause you like cof

  • @EyelessEntity you are a disgusting gay too like dani filth

  • @NuitPeste kay, you too. I just happen to have a more varying music taste than you, sir. It is thanks to Cradle of Filth that I discovered metal years ago, ever since I've delved deeper into this wonderful genre. Though I believe you to be either a troll or very narrow-minded person.

    Cheers. \m/

  • best clean vocals i have ever heard!

  • Thank u so much for uploading this song,it means a lot to me

  • The beginning all the way till vocals start, this song sounds really identical to a drudkh song call "only the wind whispers my name" is there any correlation between the two bands?

  • The only correlation I know of is that they are both in the same general genre of music.

  • I don't think so, but clearly a lot of people feel the same way. Google the two names only, and there are heaps of connected references.

That's music, isn't it. The intro sounds like Tool to me.

  • ahh chav looking on my favs? normally i like black metal but this is good too. its off a black metal album anyway do you like black metal? this is also a australian band

  • I'm wary of putting music in a box. Look what happened with R&B. It's supposed to mean Rythm and Blues, not the shit you hear on Radio1. Then there's Emo. Noone can agree on that.

So, what bands do you think of as black metal?

  • there are many but i think burzum early mayhem and loads others but my mind is black i listen to tonnes of different bands every day... do you like black metal?

i agree that R&B is shit its just total crap forcefed down the throats of the week

  • Sounds like what you call black metal, I think of as death/thrash metal. Closest I would come to that is probably System of a Down.

Although overall, I'm not a metal freak, I respect Tool, Ramstein, and Metallica.

The best band ever; in all history; was Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. No arguments. Fact.

  • hmmm there abit to soft for me there to commercialised all lthey want is money. in black metal you dont do it for money you do it for love and respect of the music.

i used to like them bands but soon i grew into bands like slipknot then cradle of filth then onto this.

    thrash doesnt have screaming

death has deeper growls and lyrics are about death

  • Yep. Tool are really commercial......

Hello? I have to disagree. Slipknot are a kids band to me.

  • look on toold vids like 5m views and stuff yes slipknot are shit i know!

  • Popular doesn't have to mean commercial. X Factor is commercial, and it's popular, but it's not good. Tool are popular, and good, but not commercial. Name one UK station that would play them, apart from Radio 6 in a Metal show.

  • Perfect album, really depressive and beautiful!

  • The vocals could come across as 'emo'. I will admit my first impression of them was 'emo', but they aren't really. They have more tone and maturity than your average Bullet For My Valentine fan-boy crew.

  • This album just sounds like light at the end of the tunnel.

  • Desolations projects are all very good. Everyone should check out his other bands. Funeral Mourning and he also is in Nazxul, Pestilential Shadows. All worth your time

  • This brings back memories of my 8th grade year in school (I don't know why) and how much I utterly despised and hated almost everyone there.

    Beautiful song...

  • " I've given and taken and given,

Now in my world of only your vision.

Faces of white wrapped in delicate decay,

Oh please, why won't you take me away?

    Reaching toward a pale illusion,

One which will never become real.

    Just suppose for a moment,

It was not just a dream... "

  • I Usually Think That Clean Vocals Are Useless

But In This Track I Really Enjoyed The Vocals.

  • Comment removed

  • i fucking love it, ... different :]

  • wow, this isnt like most black metal.

I still like howling and growling better but the clean vocals sound neat.

The only thing I dont like about it is it takes away the agression and hate and makes it sound beautiful, dont get me wrong though, these are the most beautiful clean vocals ive heard in any metal band.

This is the definition of Depressive Black Metal!

  • I'm just speculating (I haven't even reed the lyrics jet) and I think that the song wants that reaction from you. That It wants you to just for a moment surrender and look at the beautiful world, but then again go back to the hatred once you see what's happening.

Hope you understands want I mean.

  • @TheKisura No i think its more talking about love.

  • @BloodoftheBlackOwl Depressive Black Metal is the best thing to come out of Black metal, there's definitely some DBM that's very aggressive, it's one of the most darkest genres I know.

  • @BloodoftheBlackOwl

This doesn't sound like Black Metal, because it is no Black Metal.

    Fuck off, DSBM Faggs!

  • everybody should have tthat album...its awesome...

just for a moment is an icredible song, with awesome clean vocals...

    ...love it...

  • i have the vinyl version of the album.

you're right, that album is just so amazing...

    i love it too.

  • This song is wow. I like this.Great!

  • dont like this kind of clean vocals

  • r u kidding for once the clean vocals sounds awesome

  • No, I was not kidding. The vocals totally fit the song and his voice is, even if a bit emo-like, pretty good. It wouldn't sound nice with typical Black Metal vocals I think. Anyway those vocals is what makes this song epic... But of course, you're not forced to agree.

  • Comment removed

  • wow i really need to get this album

  • This is definitely their best song. Best clean vocals I've ever heard on a Black Metal release.

  • Clean vocals in black metal are definitely underrated. More clean vocals in bm! Especially dsbm.

  • @Snobollskrieg

Yeah! I'm agree with u! Now i can't stand no more growling...

  • @Snobollskrieg nah most bands fail at using clean vocals, except for a few exceptions like this band, the clean vocals here are actually pretty good. In other bands I like, such as Insomnium, Swallow the Sun, and Agalloch they just ruin the songs

  • @Snobollskrieg try Amesoeurs they use often clean vocals

  • Agree

  • amazing
