man am I jealous! Looking through the lens of the camera makes me shake with excitement from my love for the Japanese environment! Alas I am in no good Olympia Washington!
Thanks. It turned out nicer and more polished that I had planned. The vid footage was of poor resolution since I used my older camera and so I put it up on this channel.
Guess I gotta get more KansaiPJ viewers over here to NaniwaPJ~!
haha yea if i did this exact same video it would be a little more bumpy, i would have to put a viewer discretion disclaimer at the beginning and throw some nice soothing ambiance ambulance sounds into the mix
Oh man. All I can say is that was BEAUTIFUL! We have a great world we're living in, I'm glad I am able to live in the 21st century. Oh Yah! Happy Thanksgiving day! It's tomorrow in the USA.
I'd been thinking about some kind of handlebar mount, but then it'd have to have some kind of shock absorbing system for the video to be of use, which would probably be prohibitively expensive...
I think I would take a ride a like that quite often if I lived in an area like that.

Hey PJ! I watch this video with mother NaruyoJapan. My mother lived in Osaka. And she says that she feels nostalgic for this video.

Thanks for watching and for your kind comments! Osaka really is a special place.

I agree, cool video. If I where to do something like that I'd have to turn the sound off (I'd be swearing at the pedestrians)

Cool vid, PJ. I think you should've put it on your Kansai channel.

Hehehe.... living in the cities of Japan, you very quickly learn to maneuver the bike in fast moving crowds. ;-)

Wow you can ride really good through populated places, knowing me id be accidentally running over people.

Thanks. Have learned to zip and weave between pedestrians. It is a necessary skill in urban Japanese environments!

Sweet. Love the motion.
So wait, you had the cam in one hand and the handlebars in the other, right? Someone out there must have invented a handlebar camera mount already.

How did you do yours exactly? Handheld or helmet mounted?
Few months ago, JamieDanger made some excellent bicycling videos using a homemade helmet mount.
Darnit though this might be enough to make me buy a bicycle...
