I think I get the saying "trailer trash" now. These two men are not representative of the typical Texas man. They appear lazy as a coon dog sleeping in the shade.
I lived in Austin for 6 years and yes these hicks in Texas speak this way. When I lived in Texas and said it sucked people acted like I was crazy , so I get on you tube and there are so many damn videos of how Texas sucks that I now realize that those corn fed hillbillys were the crazy ones, everyone hates them. I have since moved from that sewage hole.
Wow, I am from Fort Worth and we say CREEK not creek.
I have a slight accent, but not as slow and drawn out as that. Most people don't speak like that from the Greater Dallas Fort Worth area, this accent is actualy slowly dieing out in the city. In the country however, they speak with more twang like that.
And all sodas are called Coke's, even though we invented Dr. Pepper here in 1885, which is before Coke's. ;)
ya i dont talk like that..and nobody i know talks like that...ur stupid..an i dont live o the edge of texas..i live in the very center of it....in a very small town and i have lived in i my hole life..ur retarded
i noticed when i moved to texas alot of folks said when i asked them something... "Do what now?" instead of saying "what did you say?", or say what now?"
We were both drunk at the time and just off the cuff decided to do this 'movie'. So blame it on alcohol. I know it's not that good but what the hell anyways.
You need an editor - reading from a dictionary is never interesting. Take a few minutes to determine the entries that are worthy of mention from those that aren't.
I've been using a lot of that slang all my life and I live in Northern Ontario...but I probably got some of it from American TV. I just love "If it'd been a snake, it woulda bit ya" ...that's perfect.
