Your review is a very bad example. A prodictible film is not bad as long as it is entertaining and the reason becose Cars is prodictible is becose the carachter development of the main protagonist is a natural process.
ex. Finding Nemo, The Increadibles and even Toy Story was prodictible to the fact that in the end the protagonist learn his leasson and reunints with his family.
I also think its wrong that you dont mention the tecknical achivments of the film
If you look at Cars you can see that the animation on the Cars is reflekting light from and to diffrent areas (just like the metal on a real car). Also I felt you mist the social commentary of the movie. When it commens to family films I think three things is importend.
1: That the main carachter is likebull & are or becomes a good romodel.
i think the reason they making a cars 2 is because they probably new they messed up this time so theyre going for another run at it to make up for cars 1 still cars was an ok movie in my opinion i have never hated a pixar film in my life
and lets face it we all no that pixar tries theyre hardest with films and dont do movies and sequels for the money like dreamworks who cant figure out that sequels dont matter and we want somthing new from them not another shrek movie

Pixar also has sprung a new series called maters tall tales shorts that have gotten theere own toy line. There is now a rumor of an incredibles collab with marvel affter the 4 million dollar buy out.

I thought Cars was actually good, it looked stupid but i watched it was pretty good. Never seen a couple of others, Toy Story is really good, Finding Nemo is great.. AND THEY BETTER COME OUT WITH A TOY STORY 3!
Cars 1 is awesome! It taught me about the importance of friends and family, a value in life i keep till this day.
About Cars 2, i really wanted to watch it to know what's in store but i didnt get a chance to. lol.

Cars is easily the weakest Pixar film, but I've still ordered it on blu ray anyway, just to complete my Pixar collection once all the films are out.
