I'm completely addicted to this song/video, what a shame this slipped under the radar. I do agree that if this song were rereleased it would do much better, with Paula having a resurgence it doesn't seem like that bad an idea.

oh, and really, this song didn't well back then because the public wasn't ready to see her so overtly sexy. Cold hearted had the complex choreography. this one just focused on her being sexual. if this came out now, she'd be a headliner.

i disagree - i think it was also to do with the video...apparently it was ridiculed at the time because of it being a bit....sleazy with the bull part with the champagne...i dont think the public LIKED it rather than its being under-promoted, even the previous single charted low despite huge promotion (my love is for real) so i dont think its a case of promotion..the public just didnt like her anymore...(its the truth, i am a fan!)

"My Love Is For Real" didn't have a huge promotion. It barely got radio play & this song got even less. The only time you really saw either video was if someone ordered it on "The Box".

As far as this video being "sleazy", I don't remember anybody saying anything like that back then. Hell, Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me" came out that same year & that song was more popular than this! Believe me, there were a lot of videos that were more sleazy than this in the early/mid-90's.
