Lookup wikipedia on crosswind landing you fools. You really do it like that. The last 50 feet(or maybe meters) above ground you cut power and if you approach straight then the aircraft may stall or rotate and be uncontrollable This is called crab or de-crab landing. Besides Singapore airlines I think hire white Caucasian pilots from UK, US or USSR. What does Asian have to do with it,

The 747 has a landing gear mechanism that allows it to land crabbed into the wind. It can easily land at angles to the runway.

WOW! What skill, what accuracy, what patience displayed by the pilot. Around 0:30 the pilot realized his a little off the runway, but he doesn't panic and try to force lateral movement, like other pilots, he very calmly makes a minor lateral push to the left and feels it out. The pilot is world class!

usually pilots are too scared to the possibility of landing sideways, so they kick it to early and the plane ends up swerving done the runway and make a terrible landing or sometimes they have to go around
