People are so judgmental of gays/lesbians. I was bi curious for a while and still kinda am and all I got from the 2 people I told was questions and getting judged. It's not a choice to be lesbian/bi/gay so why do people find the need to judge others from that. Then the people getting judged feel more self cautious like I do now and are cautious about there weight, what others think, etc. nobody needs that.

Show them some respect, even if you may not agree with everything they do. I agree parents do need more guidance, look at the state of today's society but it can't be easy being a parent, especially as it is not something you are taught to do as you've already said.
