  • how many cupcakes I can cover with this mix?????

  • Why would she hold the hot pan when she was mixing ..thts retarded js...

  • cool

  • I thought it was butter cream not italian merang -___-

  • Hence the term /butter/cream people. If you're going to complain about calories, why are you watching a video on icing? All icing is made from a fat, a cream, and a sugar.

  • it looked like a total of 6 sticks of butter = 3 cups...

  • what do you do with all the egg yolks?

  • @HZ2334 Do what Michelle Phan does (She has a video on here about this), cook it up! No need to waist yolks, eh? xD

  • Srry ment 1 bar of butter

  • to use i bar of butter:

    1/12 cup of water

    1/6 cup sugar

    1/6 cup egg

    last part; 1/18 cup sugar

    Hopes this helps!!

  • How many cakes will this cover?

  • @Ben67810 about 2 cake if you doing a 3 layer cake but at least 4 if not depends on how much frosting you use

  • i think she used 6 sticks or butter :/.... maybe which is about 3 cups cuz 1 stick is 1/2 a cup or 48 tbsp or 702 grams

  • You guys are rather fucking useless when it comes to answering questions.

  • That just means that you area bad baker because i did it and it worked awesomely it tasted great and was a great texture no where near a soup thanks amanda

  • This is a bogus recipe. In the end you get sugar butter soup!

  • @bruqedoral You may have added your butter while the meringue was still hot. After adding the sugar syrup to the egg whites you have to let it completely cool down or else, like she said, it will melt the butter. You also need to carefully add in the sugar syrup. In the video it almost looks like she dumped the whole thing in at once due to the way it was edited. The syrup should be added in a VERY slow and steady stream so that you don't break your meringue. Hope that helps!

  • @bruqedoral you much had did it wrong the sugar must have been to hot and you undermix

  • The white icing before adding the butter is also great itself. If you don't want to add that amount of butter, you can omit it. It's really great and tastes like melted marshmallows :> I've been using it for a long time and never gets tired of the flavor!

  • U are really good at talking in front of the camera. U have confidence

  • WTH is cream of tartar ?????

  • @monigirl177 An acid. It stabilizes the egg whites. If you don't have any just ubstitute by a pinch of salt.^_^

  • @edvinasal thanks (:

  • thats a heart attack waiting to happen...

  • do i have to use cream of tartar ? cuz i did not find any in the grocary store

    is it that important?

  • @Dam3ii no you don't need to, it'll be fine without it (:

  • she used 6 sticks of butter i think i just counted them

  • is this butter cream good for cupcakes?? please reply

  • 1 pound and 1/2 of butter which is 3 cups of butter or 6 sticks

  • @ThePinkrose33 nope 6 sticks of butter is 3 pounds. 1 stick of butter is 8 ounces and 16 ounces is a pound so 8oz (1 stick) plus 8oz (1 stick) equals 16 oz ( 2 sticks) which is 1 pound

  • I counted 6 sticks of butter and it seemed to be American Beauty....just a guess....

  • @Shondralicious

I counted 6 too, so I say 6 it is

  • does it matter what type or brand of butter you use??

i have land lakes unsalted butter can i use that??

  • allisonphuise1996: the same thing happened to me the first time. I didn't let it cool enough before adding the butter. I guess it melted. I tried again, waiting until it was really cooled off before I put the butter in and it worked great. It does go a bit soupy at first, but keep going and it will turn out.

  • Wow, I tried this and it is WONDERFUL!!! Thank you so much, it is so helpful to watch a video on how it is done.

  • can u still cover the cake with a marshmallow fondant after u iced it with this type of buttercream?thanks sonia

  • I failed and it turned watery when I added in the butter :( anyone can tell me why

  • there is a simpler way that is just as good but takes a max of 2 mins by adding butter and icing sugar and mixing them until its smooth im just sayin

  • Would I be able to use this buttercream to frost a cake that will be covered in fondant?

  • i emailed the store asking.

the recipe calls for a pound and a half (6 sticks)

  • Umm do you know how to make fondant or where do you buy it??

  • How much butter is used? It looks like over a pound, which seems like a lot.

  • @officialtinkerboy

i think it is 6 sticks of butter

  • @officialtinkerboy it 6 butter so thats 3 pounds

  • i just wanna ask how many of butter you use?

  • @Kune73 its six of them
