its all preference, i prefer the '96 supra instead of the '88 or something like that. since you are going to be doing the mods yourself it doesnt really matter which year you get, just as long as you actually like the look of that year.

@jamezzeal I would suggest getting 93 to 96, possibly 97, I cant remember which year they did the vvti, but 97 is the 15th anniversary which makes it that much more valuable, you dont want to get the vvti 2jz because its suppose to be harder to tune and add stuff to it

vvti was never released on the gte (supra turbos) in the us. All supra turbos that are usdm are just regular old 2jz-gte's but, the us models got better turbos and bigger cams.

What you really want is a hardtop supra.

Exactly, There many things to do when changing it to manual. Remember these things, make sure is the 2jz-gte engine, install a 6 speed supra manual transmission,THERES TONE OF THINGS TO BUY AND INSTALL, but nothing is impossible.

before that install a higher stage if your goiing mid 500 hp......Ask me anything...
