@Raigeki190 is right. I've tried that once. They don't fry it, when the pan is at a freezing temperature, they make the mixture thin enough so it can freeze. When it's frozen, they serve it to you. Honestly, the taste is not so great. It doesn't taste like much, though it was pretty amusing to watch :)

Technically, it's not "fried" but the way you make it looks like you're laying it out on a frying pan which is why they call it "fried ice cream"

No need to make the "fried" part a big deal y'all.

I've tasted this before and it's sooo friggin yummy like seriously. Instead of making a big buzz over it being fried or not, I suggest you guys come over to the Philippines and try it. :D

Actually it won't melt away if you use a batter, that's the whole point, when people say 'fried ice cream' ofcourse they don't just drop the ice cream in hot oil, you have to use a batter and it preserves the ice cream inside. Look it up :)
