Games nowadays have a much higher standard of story telling. Mass Effect 3 has an actual change of becoming game of the year (or RPG of the year) of 2012, since ME2 already won this title, despite being released at the beginning of the year. I aggree that Skyrim will be a blast, but ME3 will epically end the best trilogy ever.
