@Rosstacular I'm in a similar camp. I think the film is a flip book of frivolity, none of which I find particularly humorous. It's a film I might have laughed at as a child. It's well executed for its day and amusing at times, but I wouldn't say these are the hallmarks of a good film.

this is probably a stretch, and just going to be me for the most part, but cary grant kind of reminds me of milton from office space in this movie. the kind of mumbling, being ignored, etc.

My absolute fave movie ever bar none! I watched the video so many times that the tape broke and bought the DVD. So far that has not worn out yet! LOL- What is incredible is when the film came out it tanked at the box office. Yet when it came out again and again and again- it rose to being known as one of the finest screwball comedies ever made in cinema history.

wow. i never knew the uncanny resemblance between Grant's character here and Reeve's Clark Kent from the Superman movies. I mean, i know he based his role off of Grant but my goodness, i didn't expect to find the original source to be that strong of an influence! ! i must see this movie now !
