  • n'importe où, mais ensemble ...

  • This is awful, Demi's voice is destroyed, the lyrics terrible and the swaying djelaba's ridiculous. This is aping western culture at its worst. A cultural betrayal and a hollow puppet show. ..This is Quatar? So what is fatso doing there?

  • oti kai na peis gia ti foni tou einai ligo

  • Thanks for sharing. SomeonefromBrazil.

  • thank you

  • I hate to burst anyone's bubble...but this is Crap!!! Where is Demis going with this type of event. The Tenor was excellent but no idea who he is???...Anyone???

  • @rita1902 So, maybe you would be so kind to tell me more about this beautiful music?

  • I find this music both exotic and beautiful. Is this original music from Qatar?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJoseph1966 first think and then comment....

  • Demis himself proves that not only old wine is good :P Although old he is till one of the greatest artists

  • @Arkzyw Demis is not that old, he is 63

  • @pilotl1011 - I know that he is 63, but many singers around this age don't sing anymore. He still sings, and still is great.

  • What a great idea to get all these singers together.

  • This is so sad that implication02 would say such a thing. This guy seems kind of immature and stupid. I bet he does not have a friend in the world. Is sad that someone who lives in England would say the most ignorant comment on earth.

  • Who is the woman at 1:00?

  • long live with him

  • Sempre grande Demis,Viva Demis!!! Ah Ah Ah...

  • Listen you mention that Arabs are buying or renting their place in the world you are completely wrong maybe you should do more research see how much Arab people in generel gave to humanity dont let the negative television control your little tiny brain

  • demis roussos speaks arab very good because he is from alexandria -Egypt ,,really he was a great singer.

  • He still is a great singer!

  • How positively dripping with insincerity... it makes me cringe to see a man reduce himself in this manner. When will the arabs learn that , no matter how much of your oil dollars you spend, you can't buy respect or friendship you're only renting it. You need to earn your place in the world and you won't do that with these cheesy domonstrations.

  • This is a wonderful song. Thank you so much. Do you or anyone have the entire performance? We will be grateful to receive it. With Appreciation.

  • wonderful song. the arabic rythm gives it a special flovour.

  • who's the one who sings in italian?

  • for god sake how I missed this festival.....oooooh

    they are all my best

  • i don't understand their words but i always enjoy arabic music, its something about beat and rhythm in their songs

by the way did you know that qatar has one of the highest GDP (nominal) per capita in the world, way higher than US or advanced eurozone countries

  • don't understand their words but i always enjoy middle east /arabic music, its something about beat and rhythm in their songs and I love all kind of music.

  • Para los amigos Latinoamericanos, Demis, es international y si no lo saben el nacio in Egypto y vivio mucho in ella, habla el Arabi, yo soy Palestino lo escucho in Espanol, Frances,y el English, que tiene de malo si canta in Qatar? talvez next year in Mexico? gracias Demis.

  • Methinks Demis Roussos has been eating too much BAKLAVA and HALVAH lately!!!!

  • I have traveled a lot the world and Middle East Countries since I was a kid. Qatar is a wonderful nation, a pearl in many senses in that part of the world.

A part this, why Roussos should not sing for free or big money for such a nation? Where is the problem?

Comment how he sings, how is his voice now instead of posting nonsense!

  • what are the rest saying?

  • Nice...Where i find this song please????

  • Demis R. may be was a good singer in 70's .But Arab countries seeing him as a phenomenon and paying him top dollars is priceless..:)

  • Not really, it's just because most people there liked his music in the 70s. If you grew up in the early 1990s, and then had a Pearl Jam reunion 10 years from now, you'd pay to see them, wouldn't you?

  • I agree. My guess is that his popularity in the Middle East is his natural dry timbre and impressive vocal strength and range. I often envision him singing from a mosque tower and I'm not even muslim or religious. His music with Vangelis and Aphrodite's child is close to my heart, and I grew up in a Pennsylvania suburb in the '80s; a far cry from Greece in the late 1960's. I think some of the more recent videos are a bit sentimental but how can you not celebrate this guy?

  • Haha, that is true. I'm Arab, but I'm not Muslim, and neither is my family. But I know what you mean. My parents really liked his songs way back then, hehe. His voice is alot like classical Arab music...most notably like Fairuz (Lebanon) or Um Kalthoom (Kuwait). Most Arabic music today is alot like pop.

  • om kultoum is from Egypt dud

  • Sorry, my bad. I'm not too good with my Arabic singers...

  • i love his music Since i was 5

I was born in the eighties

not only people in 70 like him

  • Hey bzakaria@ do you work for free?

Why blame others working for money?

    Got a sence?

His singing has been a heaven - enjoy it

  • We in Iran love Demis Roussos too. Listened to his songs since early 1970s.

  • @Hesam0000 I hope he give to you people the taste of the freedom I hope one day IRAN become a free country a country with men and women equal a free country I pray God everyday for that

  • @gucciboy58 I grew up in free Iran before 1979 & left Iran 4 years after the revolution. As much as you guys think you're free neither of you are, including US & canada.Try creating an anti-government militia or electing a different system of government than what you have & you'll see what I mean. Your only difference is not being under Islamic system which again has its own positives & negatives. Positives: No hijab, better legal process, secularism, negatives: crime, porn, prostitution, liquor++

  • I hope they did this because Qatar is a progressive nation in the Arab world, and not for money. I see in Qatar a glimpse of hope in an hopeless region.

  • i think QATAR deserive demis roussos to sing for it , we like him here in QATAR

  • If you don't like the song,, at least see the words illuminated behind him to understand his big picture!!! Demmis is trying to open the gap,, though we don't want to cause of 911, eventually we have to!!! or else!!!!!

  • Well said

  • demiss russos , hojala pudieras venir a mexico d.f en verdad que eres grande maestro...

  • god be with demis roussos

  • What a nonsense @bzakaria! Do you think, Demis R. would give a concert for a hand full of quataris?!? Why should he? He is a free man.He is an orthodox guy!yes for sure he did it for money. And he did it great! I remember demis sleeping on the dining tables as fat as he was in the 80-s there was no bed strong enough for him. Pueh and your talking about big-dollars...Come on!

  • In this song, Demis turned himself into a pay phone...he has no feelings or attachement with Qatar. He sang this song ONLY because he got paid BIG dollars. I have no clue why rich Arab countries buy a foreign singer's time and talent to praise their accomplishment. A Qatari citizen would have done a better job, at least he'll be sincere.

  • Brasil-Fiquei comovida quando te vi entrando, meu querido Demis Roussos, você é maravilhoso,é insubstituível,te amo, I LOVE.

  • these men should never grow old..Gods may always be with you great Demis.

  • @AXILQUEEN you are right.

  • Thanx for sharing ... nice song .. qatar deserve the best

    regards
